Obituary: Hanks, Robert Gregory “Bob”
Age 58
He was born on September 26, 1956, in Charleston, SC.
Bob passed away on January 15, 2015, in Austin, TX, when his vehicle was struck by a drunken driver, killing him instantly.
Bob grew up in an Air Force family and was fortunate to travel and be educated in different parts of the world; experiencing many cultures and events.
Although quiet by nature, he had a keen sense of humor; endearing himself to those around him.
A favorite time for him would be to find a quiet spot and relax playing his guitar or reading.
He graduated from University High School and Spokane Community College in Spokane, WA.
Bob loved his work as a Registered Cardio Vascular Invasive Specialist and Limited Medical Radiology Technologist, At Seton Medical Center in Austin, where his coworkers will truly miss his kind humorous spirit and warm heart.
In addition to his wife, Brenda of Austin, TX, Bob is survived by his daughter, Adrienne (Patrick) North and two granddaughters, Justice and Autumn North.
He is also survived by a brother, Tom Burns (Diana) of Valdosta, GA and sisters, Donna Combs of Edmond, OK and Patricia (Daniel) McLendon of Olympia, WA; nephews, Wes (Jenni) of San Diego, CA and Scott Smolinsky of Olympia, WA and Rev.
Sarah Combs also survive along with numerous cousins.
