Ferris seniors directing one-act plays
Ferris Theatre Arts presents Student Directed One Acts tonight and Friday. Each night will feature three pieces directed by Ferris seniors, who are all making their directorial debut.
Tonight, Bri Collins will direct “Oedipus Rex,” Zachary Lemsden will direct “The Audition” and Hanna Saunders will direct “Bang Bang You’re Dead.”
On Friday, Danielle Reinkens will direct “Asylum,” Taylor Anzivino will direct “August & Anna” and Liam Buckmaster will direct “A Little Box of Oblivion.”
Student Directed One Acts begin at 8 p.m. at Ferris High School, 3020 E. 37th Ave. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased through Ferris’ Business Office or at the door.
Mountainside helps Humane Society
Mountainside Middle School students recently launched their 18th annual donation drive benefiting the Spokane Humane Society.
From now until Feb. 9, students will collect food, blankets, toys and other donations outside of Spokane businesses. Students will deliver the donations to the shelter Feb. 13.
Cheney dedicating new school track
Cheney Middle School will dedicate the Lawson and Ruth Van Kuren Track and Field at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the school, 740 Betz Road, Cheney.
