Obituary: Englehardt, Bruce F.

Age 53

ENGLEHARDT, Bruce F. Bruce F. Englehardt, of Marysville, WA, died January 14, 2015 of a heart attack at the age of 53.

Bruce was born June 17, 1961 in Apple Valley, CA to parents, James and Akie Englehardt.

He was raised in Spokane, WA with siblings, Robert and Catherine; graduating from Shadle Park High School in 1979.

He then joined the United States Army at the age of 19, working as a CH-47 attack helicopter mechanic and crew chief at many posts, including in Germany, South Korea and Hawaii.

He retired as a Sergeant and member of the Army Air Cavalry in 1995.

Bruce was employed by the Boeing Company as a 777 Flightline mechanic at their Everett plant for eight years, while also attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to receive his Airframe and Powerplant License and serving as a union steward for IAM District 751.

Bruce was a rated private pilot and a faithful dedicated Christian who loved to take family and friends on sightseeing flights.

He enjoyed fishing and boating, and was a good Samaritan.

Bruce was a devoted husband, a loving father, a great brother and a generous son.

He is survived by his wife Kunsun, his daughter Christina and his son Bruce Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at Smokey Point Community Church, where he worshiped and served as a temporary usher, on Saturday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m.
