Junior Seau, Kurt Warner, Orlando Pace first-time Hall eligibles
Late linebacker Junior Seau headlines a list of 18 finalists up for selection today for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Seau won Defensive Player of the Year for San Diego in 1992 and made six All-Pro teams during his 20-year career. He committed suicide in 2012 and was found to have developed chronic traumatic encephalopathy (a brain disease). Joining Seau among the first-year eligibles are quarterback Kurt Warner and tackle Orlando Pace – who protected two-time MVP Warner with the Rams. Also a finalist is running back Terrell Davis, the 1998 league and Super Bowl MVP for Denver. – Associated Press
