Man arrested in connection with body found near Hauser Lake

Spokane police arrested a man last week and extradited him to Idaho, where he is accused of having a connection to the suspicious death of a woman whose body was found partially submerged in a slough near Hauser Lake.

Patrick Neil McGhee, 47, is a Hauser resident. He is accused of failing to notify law enforcement of the death of 55-year-old Kelly Lynne Sallee. His bond is set at $250,000.

Sallee’s body was found June 11 in water off the west side of Hauser Lake Road.

Police have released little information about her death.

Spokane and Kootenai County detectives worked together on the case.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release it will not give details about Sallee’s death during its investigation. She was from Spokane.

“Numerous items of forensic evidence have been submitted for processing and even as late as last Friday, detectives were continuing to collect and process evidence,” the release said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact detectives at (208) 446-1338, (208) 446-2238 or kcso@kcgov.us.
