CRANDALL, Harriet Edith R.N.

95 Years of Life A longtime resident of Spokane, Washington, and a former longtime resident of Deer Park, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015.

Harriet is the dear mother and mother-in-law of Lois Crandall of Spokane, and Janice and Michael Smith of Mead, Washington.

She enjoyed three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Crandall is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Crandall, in 1991; her parents, William and Dorothy Aldrich; and a sister, Jean.

Born in Deer Park in 1919, Harriet attended school in Deer Park and graduated from Deer Park High School with the Class of 1937.

She attended Whitworth College School of Nursing and became a registered nurse.

During World War II, she was a nurse with the United States Navy serving at the Naval Hospitals in Seattle and Corvallis, Oregon.

After World War II, Harriet was a R.N.

at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane and the Deer Park Hospital.

Being a longtime member of the Deer Park Methodist Church, Harriet was also a member of the Order of Easter Star, Bethlehem Chapter 87, P.E.O.

Chapter A W of Deer Park, and a member of the Deer Lake Homeowners Association.

Funeral Services with Military Honors honoring Mrs. Crandall will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday July 10, 2015, in Deer Park at the Woodland Cemetery with Rev.

Dr. Daniel N. Berg officiating.
