Obituary: Alexander, Lynn Albert

Age 83

ALEXANDER, Lynn Albert Passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, June 25, 2015 surrounded by his family in the Spokane Valley.

He was born in Bowman, North Dakota July 1, 1932 to Harlan Albert Alexander and Ardis Ione Reager Alexander.

His parents had eight children: Lois, Phyllis, Arlene, Jean, Lynn, Kay, Gary, and Dean.

At the age of one, his family moved to St. Maries, Idaho where he graduated from high school in 1950.

Lynn enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War serving in the 320th refueling Squadron as an air-refueling boom operator on the KC 97.

He traveled to England, France, Spain, Turkey, Libya, South Africa, Greenland and Germany.

In 1959, he met Charlene Burk and they were married August 8, 1959.

Lynn and Charlene had four children: Charlyn, Tamera, Brian and Michelle.

They lived in California, Washington, and Alaska.

In 1999, Lynn and Charlene retired and settled in Spokane Valley, enjoying their retirement years surrounded by family.

Dad’s greatest love was for his family and friends and he always took time to help others in need.

He leaves behind his loving wife Charlene of 57 years, three children: Charlyn Cord, Tamera England, and Michelle Westwood, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His memorial service will be Saturday, July 18th at 11am at the LDS Chapel on 5322 North Evergreen Road, Spokane, Valley.
