Man found dead in burning car identified

From staff reports
Authorities have identified the man found dead in the backseat of a car that burned in the Shadle neighborhood last month as 32-year-old Warren R. Lively. The manner of Lively’s death remains under investigation by the Spokane Police Department, according to a news release from the Spokane County Medical Examiner. The car caught fire just after midnight June 22 in the parking lot of the Shadle Center Wal-Mart. Witnesses reported hearing at least one explosion inside the car. Firefighters called to the scene discovered Lively’s body as they doused the flames. Efforts to identify Lively were hindered because of the circumstances of the death, the medical examiner said.
