Obituary: Aman, Maxine H.

Age 86

AMAN, Maxine H. (Age 85) Died Thursday, July 23 in Spokane, WA.

Born August 9, 1929 in Colton, WA to William and Helen Broemmeling.

While atten-ding beauty school in Spokane, Maxine met her future husband, Melvin R. Aman.

They married September 25, 1949 in Thorncreek, ID.

She and Mel raised three children in Spokane and they were both very proud of their family.

Maxine worked for ARA Services and as a cook for School District 81.

Maxine enjoyed gardening and researching the Broemmeling and Aman family histories.

As a proud German, she was a member of the Sons of Norway for 29 years.

She served as President of the Auxiliary for many years and Lodge Vice President in 1994 and 1995.

She had many loyal friends at the S.O.N.

She was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 1474 and long time member of the Germans from Russia Society.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Jo Ann, brother William, Jr. and her loving husband of 56 years, Mel.

She is survived by her sister, Pauline Cocke; her sons, Ken (Debbie), Tim (Patti); daughter Jill (Paul); and grandchildren, Genasee and Joe.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Catholic Charities.

A funeral service will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 3624 W. Indian Trail Road, on Thursday, July 30 at 11 am with a reception to follow.
