Obituary: Cutler, Ian Timothy

Age 31

CUTLER, Ian Timothy Was born April 20th, 1984 and on July 22nd, 2015, Ian fell asleep surrounded by his friends and family and is awaiting the return of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ian is survived by parents James and Ellen of Spokane Valley; brother Noah (Joy); nephew Jaden and niece Emi of Seattle; grandmother Joyce Cutler of Spokane; aunt Anne Cutler of Spokane, uncle Chris Cutler (Julia) of Seattle, aunt Sarah Cutler-Purvis (Dave) of Seattle, uncle Tom Manning (Tami) of Spokane; and dear friend Alicia Barranco.

Ian was preceded in death by grandparents Al Cutler, and Bill and Betty Manning of Spokane.

Born in Spokane, Washington, Ian and his older brother Noah seemed inseparable through their many adventures together.

They trained together under Sensei Gene Villa in Go Ju Ryu Karate and grew up side by side, extremely close through thick and thin.

Ian graduated from Freeman High School in 2002 with a full Air Force ROTC scholarship.

He enjoyed many friends and loved being on his baseball and wrestling teams.

He was an avid bass and pike fisherman, musician and lover of God and His Word.

He also loved many sports, especially skiing with his mother, brother and uncle Tom.

He loved life, helped many and was loved by many.

He was known to be kind, caring, always willing to lend a hand and lit up any room with his personality and presence.

Memorial service will be held at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home in Spokane Valley on Saturday, August 1st at 2pm.

The service will be officiated by Pastor Dave Darroch of Spokane Dream Center where Ian attended, was loved and grew in the Lord.
