Obituary: Litton, Lorna Ethel

LITTON, Lorna Ethel Lorna Ethel (Koenig) Litton, age 87, died peacefully on Friday May 29, 2015 at her son’s home in Wenatchee, Washington from compli- cations from cancer.

She was born in Oregon City, Oregon to William and Ethel Koenig on September 27, 1927.

She grew up in Paisley, Oregon on her family’s ranch and then attended Oregon State University graduating in 1949.

She was active in the Kappa Delta Sorority and remained an active alumni all her life.

She married Gordon Thomas Litton in 1950.

Gordon’s job with the Great Northern Railroad took them to many new locations.

They lived in Seattle, Washington, Great Falls and Glasgow, Montana prior to settling in Spokane, Washington where she and Gordon lived for 45 years.

They had two sons Gregory and Jeffrey which they raised in Spokane.

She worked as a medical tran- scriptionist for the Spokane Eye Clinic.

After Gordon’s death in 2011, she moved to Kirkland, Washington.

She decorated her home with the William Steidel vibrant watercolors that she loved.

She continued to be active, enjoying her flower garden with its birds and squirrels, trips to the Oregon coast with her family and outings with her many friends at Merrill Gardens.

She always found great joy in fresh flowers and frequently returned home with more than one bouquet from the farmer’s market.

She loved all her pets and most recently her four legged granddog Bella.

She is survived by Jeff and Therese Litton of Wenatchee, Washington and Greg and Kay Litton of Salt Lake City, Utah and her grandchildren Scott, Andre, Marie and Ashley.

She will be interred at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell, Montana.
