Obituary: Loux, Steven Robert
Age 70
Steve was born on July 13, 1944 in Bemidji, MN to Gladys (Chub) Henderson.
When Steve was four his mother married Robert Loux who adopted Steve.
The family moved from Minnesota to Colorado to New Mexico to Boulder City, Nevada, growing along the way with the addition of Steve’s brothers Bob and Tom.
Steve married Sharron Mashburn and their son Miles was born in 1964.
In 1971 Steve met and fell in love with Janice Tweet.
They married in 1975 and lived in Mt.
Charleston, Nevada for eight years.
In 1980 they moved to Clayton, WA where they built a home in the woods and lived for 24 years.
In 2004 they moved into Spokane.
Steve’s career was construction.
He owned his small business and was a talented designer, builder and problem solver.
His love was cooking and entertaining and he gathered around him a wonderful group of friends who savored his meals and his hospitality.
His big regret in his final illness was not being able to cook for everyone.
Steve is survived by his wife Jan, his son Miles, his brother Bob and sister-in-law Donny, Tom’s wife Sally, and brothers and sisters-in-law Russ and Pam Tweet and Lyle and Rosemary Tweet.
