Obituary: Whitehead, Thayne H.
Age 80
Thayne was born on April 25, 1935 in Grace, Idaho to M. Earl and Letha (Perry) Whitehead.
He graduated from Grace High School in 1953 and then from Idaho State College in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
On August 15, 1956, Thayne married B. Claudette Mehew in the Cardston Alberta Temple.
Thayne and Claudette have raised three children, lived, worked and served in Spokane for more than 55 years.
Thayne is survived by Claudette, his wife of 59 years; his son, Derrick H. (Leah) Whitehead, son, Wayde K. (Teri) Whitehead and daughter Deirdre W. (Chad) Plaster; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his brother, Boyd (Roma) Whitehead, his sister Charlin (Lionel) Harrison and a truly great neighbor, Ron.
Thayne was a successful businessman, com- passionate pharmacist, talented woodworker, cherished church leader who blessed countless lives, a loyal friend and a loving husband and father.
His teasing and fun-loving nature will be truly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations maY be made to Hospice House (North) of Spokane.
Visitation: 4-8:00 PM on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at Hennessy Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division Street.
Memorial: 4:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Francis Chapel, 2112 W. Francis Avenue.
Interment: Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
