Obituary: Hall, Ronald Ray

HALL, Ronald Ray On November 13, 1932 the world was blessed with Ronald Ray Hall, born to George and Francis Hall.

He lived in Spokane all his life and graduated from North Central High School in 1950.

On January 5th, 1953 at the age of 21 years old, he was drafted into the army to proudly serve his country in the Korean War as a combat engineer.

He was honorably discharged on January 5th, 1955 holding the rank of corporal.

From 1955-1964 he was a crane operator, at a local company.

He then went to work for Spokane Public Schools from 1963 until 1996 at which time he retired as the head custodian at North Central High School.

He also ran a private auto repair business from 1965-1979.

Ron was an avid golfer, bowler, and sports enthusiast.

He loved to watch the Seahawks, Mariners, and the Zags even if they didn’t win.

He was a generous man who was always willing to lend a hand on any project no matter how big or small.

Ron was not only a hardworking man, but a dedicated father to his three sons Michael (Mary), Faron (Janice), and Preston.

Family meant everything to Ron and he wouldn’t miss an event or gathering.

He loved spending time with his granddaughter Alexandra as they had a very special bond.

His dog Mariah was always by his side and preceded him in death just a short time before Ron passed.

He often said that she was the most faithful girl he had ever known.

He had a positive attitude and put up a courageous battle with Cancer and fought hard until the bitter end.

Besides his three sons, he also leaves behind his granddaughters Deanna Alexander (Bryan), Deisrae Hall, Alexandra Hall, Caitlin Hansen (Tyler), and Jordan Hemmert, and his great- grandchildren Landyn Miller, Brooklyn Miller, and Judah Hansen.

Ron was preceded in death by his sister Marge Carlson and his brother Wendall Hall.

A celebration of his life will be Saturday, June 13th, 2015 at 8509 N. Antietam Dr. at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Hospice House North in memory of Ron.
