Obituary: Hanson, Burdelle Beverly (Wagner)
Age 92
Burdelle was born in Mankato, Minnesota March 31, 1923 to Oscar and Stella Wagner.
She grew up in Larimore, North Dakota and married her high school sweetheart, Arnold Hanson, in 1943.
They made their home in Spokane, Washington in 1953.
Arnold passed away in 1987 and she missed him more than words can say.
Burdelle was a homemaker who loved to cook and made wonderful Norwegian Lefsa and cookies.
She played piano and loved to sing, and with Arnold being a professional drummer, there was always music in our loving home.
Burdelle served as Chairman of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Ladies’ Circle for several years and was a nursing home volunteer.
Burdelle faithfully supported Washington Association of Retarded Citizens, Disabled American Veterans and Spokane Humane Society.
Burdelle is survived by her two sons, James Hanson, Plymouth, WA; Thomas Hanson, Plymouth, WA and daughter Judith Keefe (husband Joe), Olympia, WA.
She is survived by her sister Beverly Holton of Dothan, Alabama.
She is also survived by grandchildren Kelli Virnig, Wendy Keefe, Todd Hanson, Devin Hanson, Alyssa Hanson and Sarah Hanson and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted at the above mentioned charities.
