Talley’s penalty kick lifts Shadow to win
Adam Talley scored on a penalty kick in the 79th minute and the Spokane Shadow edged the South Sound Shock 4-3 on Saturday night in a Evergreen Premier League soccer match played at Spokane Falls CC.
Karl Muelheims scored in the 12th and 27th minutes for a 2-0 Shadow lead with both goals set up by Zach Hamer.
Tyler John scored for South Sound in the 34th minute and Brandon Madsen added a goal 40 seconds into the second half to tie the match.
Hamer put the Shadow back in front with an assist from Dustin Ferger in the 51st minute before Madsen tied the match in the 63rd minute.
The Shadow (4-1-2) handed South Sound (5-1-2) its first loss after the teams finished in a scoreless draw last weekend.
The Shadow next play Bellingham United on Saturday at 7 at SFCC.
