Obituary: Blackhurst, Brian William
Age 67
Born on December 24, 1947 in Spokane, Brian is survived by his sons Adrian Blackhurst and Brian Mann, daughter Gina Evanson-Boetes, June Mitchell (mother), Judi Collins (sister), David Mitchell (brother), Patricia Crowe (sister), Jill Mitchell (sister) and numerous grandsons, granddaughters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Brian attended Lewis & Clark (class of ‘66), and EWU.
He was a free spirit musician who proudly played music and attended every music event possible the past 50+ years from Florida to Hawaii, Cabo to Canada, he lived to travel and have fun!
He was a musician, comedian and entrepreneur, and always went out of his way to help somebody in need.
He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his many friends and family.
Memorial will be on Sunday, June 21st 3pm-dark, at Grant Park near community garden across from his home of 38 years at 1103 E. 9th.
It will be a colorful celebration of his life, with live music and free watermelon on him!
