Obituary: Hillyard, Charles M.

HILLYARD, Charles M. Charles M Hillyard born in Spokane on May 11th, 1934 passed peacefully at his home on June 6th, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years Georgia, brother Lowell, sister Gail Kiehn, parents Barney and Lucille Hillyard.

He is survived by his five children Cindy (Rocky) Brown, Becky (Daryl) Bush, Shellie Jennings, Terrie (Jerry) Deuser, Chuck (Jenny) Hillyard, eight grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and his sister Ilah Fry, as well as his dog and companion Rainy.

He was a lifelong resident of the West Central Spokane neighborhood, where he helped many over the years.

He was a Veteran of the Korean conflict and retired after 35 years from the Milwaukee and BN railroad.

He will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola, Medical Lake on June 24th, 2015 at 1:30 PM followed by a gathering at the Maxwell House Restaurant at 1425 North Ash, Spokane.
