Obituary: Peters, Wilbur H.
Age 97
He was born November 29, 1917 in Spokane, WA to William and Lillie (Zehm) Peters.
Wilbur graduated from Central Valley High School in 1936.
After graduation, he worked at Peters Hardware in Opportunity, WA and Jensen-Byrd in Spokane.
During WWII, he served in the Army Air Corps as a weather observer.
While stationed in Garden City, KS, he met Louise Koch and they married in 1944.
After the war, he became a partner in Peters Hardware.
Wilbur and Louise were blessed with five children and is survived by children: Susan Peters, Joyce Eggers, Carol Bisterfeldt, Gary Peters, and Barbara Cole; sister, Eileen Bryant of Seattle; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his wife wife Louise in 1994; his Parents; his brother, Harold Peters; and his stepmother, Lena (Miller Schultz) Peters.
A Memorial Service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3606 S. Schafer Road in Spokane Valley, WA, on June 27, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.
Private family burial with Military Honors was at Pines Cemetery on May 11, 2015.
