He was a 1959 graduate of Bonners Ferry High School.
He served in the U.S. Army and upon his honorable discharge, he worked several jobs before joining the U.S. Border Patrol where he served for 27 years.
Upon his retirement, Larry became quite the artist, producing many paintings in his own unique style over the years.
He was an avid and prolific woodworker who built everything from antique reproduction clocks to furniture.
Later in life he took up fretwork on the scroll saw, producing more beautiful items…clocks, wall plaques, and gifts for others.
Larry came back to God and joined St. John’s Lutheran Church in 2014.
He took a special joy in making wooden toys and puzzles for children and donated many to Meadowlane Christian School and St. John’s Sunday School.
