Obituary: Rose, Virgil Lee

ROSE, Virgil Lee (Age 56) Passed away on May 27, 2015.

Virgil was born on April 12, 1960 in Norfolk, Virginia, to Robert Lee and Katherine Rose.

He married Cathy Chapman on June 18, 1982 in Nashville, Tennessee and they moved to the Spokane area.

In 1983, Virgil started working for Eller Corporation and considered everyone he worked with to be family.

He trained numerous younger employees in his trade, work ethic and the value of friendship.

In 1995 he defied death when he was buried alive in a construction accident.

As an avid gardener, he was always sharing his seeds, plants, and knowledge of ladybugs.

Virgil was a unique, one-of-a kind, man who could be a southern gentleman and a hillbilly at the same time.

He deeply loved his children and grandsons.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica Belle Marie (Brady) Smith, their sons Steven and Damian, and by his son Zebulun Conan Lee Rose, his ex-wife, yet close friend, Cathy Rose and many other friends.

A short memorial will be held on Saturday, June 27th, starting at 11:00am at 8615 N. Malvern Rd.

in Newman Lake followed by a potluck lunch and a celebration of Virg’s life.

Friends and acquaintances who knew him are invited to stop by and share memories.

This will be outdoors so please dress casually.

Virgil touched the lives of everyone he met and will forever be in our hearts and memories.
