Obituary: Sheridan, Susan “Salene”

SHERIDAN, Susan “Salene” (Age 55) Was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on June 18th, 2015 at the age of 55.

Salene is survived by her parents, Ron and Carol Kraus; sister, Sandy Thorne; daughters, Rachael Studley and Danielle Davis; grandsons, Kaleb and Jacob Studley; good friend/ex-husband, Mike Sheridan; sons-in-law, Seth Studley and Jon Davis; and many beloved friends.

Salene was born in Racine, WI on April 1, 1960 to proud parents Ron and Carol Kraus and big sister Sandy Kraus.

In Salene’s adolescence, the family moved to Santa Cruz, CA where she spent her teen and young adult years.

She graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University in 1983 with a degree in Fine Arts.

In 1985, she married the love of her life, Michael Sheridan.

Two years later, they welcomed their first daughter, Rachael Sheridan, into the world.

In 1989, the family transplanted to Spokane, WA, where their second daughter, Danielle Sheridan, was born.

Salene spent over 20 years faithfully serving her family as a loving stay-at-home mom, and had recently gone back to college to become an Occupation Therapist Assistant.

Salene will be remembered for her spectacular God-given artistic talent, her joyful spirit, her deep compassion the downtrodden, and her devotion to Jesus Christ.

A memorial honoring Salene’s life will be held Friday, June 26th, at South Hill Bible Church, 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Kitchen, a ministry at which Salene spent years volunteering and that was very dear to her heart.
