Strawberry festival at Moran Prairie

The Moran Prairie Grange is holding its fourth annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event raises money for the Grange hall, which has fallen on hard times financially because of a reduced membership.

Spokane County Fire District 8 will have a fire engine at the event. Dozens of vendors will be on hand selling vintage, antique and handmade items.

The grange will be selling homemade strawberry shortcake and strawberry lemonade, according to Erin Bishop, Grange secretary.

“We are doing everything we can to keep our Grange open and to make it become a viable part of the Spokane community once again,” said Bishop in an email.
