We have liftoff: Athletes have streamed into the Inland Northwest for two major sporting events that are expected to take place in record-setting heat. The 26th Hoopfest 3-on-3 basketball tournament begins its two-day run today. Ironman Coeur d’Alene is scheduled for Sunday. High temperatures for both days are expected to be in the 100s.
