With sales of pickups, SUVs and crossovers booming, it should come as no surprise that the 10 vehicles predicted to deliver the highest resale values after five years of ownership are trucks. That’s according to the valuation experts at Kelley Blue Book in Irvine, California, and their annual Best Resale Value Awards. The top 10 includes three SUVs, the Honda CR-V, Jeep Wrangler and the Toyota 4Runner, along with seven pickups - the Chevrolet Colorado and Silverado, Ford F150, GMC Canyon and Sierra and Toyota Tacoma and Tundra. The Tacoma was the number-one-rated vehicle, expected to retain 60.4 of its original value after five years. “It’s a testament to the strength these categories will carry in the future,” says Eric Ibara, KBB’s director of residual value consulting. “The models in KBB’s top 10 list are expected to retain their value better than 95 percent of all new vehicles on the market this year.” See the full list at kbb.com.
