Obituary: Perry, Dorothy

PERRY, Dorothy (Age 86) Dorothy Perry went home to the Lord surrounded by the love of her family on February 13, 2015.

Dorothy was born July 9, 1928 in Sandpoint, ID to Vernon and Myrtle Bailey.

Dorothy was raised in Dover ID and married the boy next door Glenn Perry Sr. on July 11, 1942.

Glenn and Dorothy had five sons: Glenn (Joe) Perry Jr. (Margaret), Vernon (Ox) Perry (Lugene), Richard (Dick) Perry (Shirley), Archie (Pete) Perry (Jan), Max Perry; and four daughters: Gail Taylor, Kathy Ziehnert, Alline (Charlie) Perry (James) and Cindy Hart.

Mom had 28 Grandchildren, 47 Great-grandchildren and five Great-Great-grandchildren.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Perry Sr; son Max Perry; grandson Kelly Carroll, grandson Joseph Spiry; and son-in-law John Taylor.

Mom loved to cook and bake.

She loved the large family get-togethers, especially Christmas.

Mom loved her flower gardens, playing Bingo and going to the Coeur d’ Alene Casino.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Kootenai Memorial Hospital for the excellent care of our mother and to her Great-granddaughter Brooke Carroll who cared for her grandmother the last hours of her life.

Mom was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Services will be at a later date.
