Obituary: Washington, Douglas Heitner

WASHINGTON, Douglas Heitner (Age 31) Doug was born on September 3rd, 1983 in Seattle, Washington to Richard and Anne Washington.

He grew up in Spokane and attended Ferris High School and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School.

His life was tragically cut short and he died on March 3rd, 2015 from an accidental overdose.

During his life he enjoyed music, art, and cosmetology.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Anne.

His is survived by his father, Richard, step-mom, Maria; brothers, Edward and Brendan; sister, Lilly and step-siblings, Casey, Steven and Amanda.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Donald, Geri, Mary Ann, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Doug had many friends, including his longtime friend, David Cardenas.

Douglas, you will be missed by all; you touched the lives of many.

A Memorial Service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, 1428 W. Broadway Ave, Spokane, Sunday, March 8th, at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at www.nami.org.
