Obituary: Boyer, Thomas J.
Age 79
Dad was born at home on December 5, 1935 in Wilmington, Delaware.
Shortly after graduating high school he began his 25 year career in the U.S. Air Force.
Very early in his first career he met his wife, Eileen, while stationed in England.
Upon retirement from the USAF, he obtained his AA degree from SCC which launched his 20 plus year career at CVSD.
Then he enjoyed his time gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and most recently with his great-grandsons.
He will always be remembered as a fine, wise and funny fellow with a mischievous sense of humor as well as being generous of heart, a pincher of pennies and an esteemed bargain hunter.
Dad is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eileen; his children Peter (Amy), Jimmy (Bobbi), Missy (Mark), and Becky (Larry); grandchildren Amanda, Eric, Stuart, Kari, Emily, Brianna, Miranda, and Erica; great-grandsons Carson and Alex.
He is also survived by his sister Fran and brother Chas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Frances; brothers Norman and Jimmy; and sisters Ann, Sis and Helen.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the ICU staff at Sacred Heart Medical Center for all their wonderful care and support.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10am and will be celebrated at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 503 N. Walnut Road, Spokane Valley, WA with inurnment with full military honors to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 18725 E. Trent Ave.
