Obituary: Gilk, Luletta Marie (Bright) “Lue”
Age 52
Luletta was born March 24th, 1963 in Kimball, Nebraska to Raymond and Vera Bright.
Earlier years, she was raised in Dix Nebraska where she attended grade school.
She then moved to Gaylord, Michigan and on to Douglas, Wyoming where she graduated high school in 1981.
She married the love of her life, William E. Gilk, Jr., on July 4th, 1992 at the L’Amour Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They made their home in Cheney, Washington after William retired from the USAF, with their four lovely children.
Luletta was involved with Special Olympics, Relay for Life and the Red Hat Society.
Earlier years of her life, she loved to quilt and her favorite pastimes were bowling and spending time with her three grandkids.
Luletta is survived by her children, daughter Nicole (Dave) Zickler of Loon Lake, WA, sons, Nathan Gilk, James Gilk and Jacob Sheridan all of Spokane, WA, brothers George (Deb) Bright, Steve (Patty) Bright of Sidney, MT and sister Carmella (Scott) of Douglas, WY, numerous nieces and nephews and her best friend, Kristie Tillman of Andrews, TX.
Luletta was preceded in death by her father Raymond Bright, mother Vera Bright and husband William E. Gilk, Jr. Services will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church on Monday, March 23rd, at 11:00 AM, at 2733 W. Northwest Blvd., followed by Interment at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery at 1:30 PM, 21702 W. Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, WA 99022.
