Obituary: Peterson, Thor Roland

Age 33

PETERSON, Thor Roland Was born April 20, 1981 in Spokane, WA.

He passed away March 8, 2015 in Renton, WA.

Thor was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.

Thor served in the Army’s 10th Mountain Division and was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Anaconda, seeing combat in the Shahikot Valley.

He served a later deployment during Operation Enduring Freedom in Djibouti, Africa.

Thor married Jami Hayes in 2009 and has a sixteen month old daughter, Violet, whom he adored.

Thor had a special gift for making those around him laugh no matter how difficult the situation.

His Polar Bear brothers of the 10th Mountain Division even shared the fact that his humor was even present during combat.

Thor is survived by his wife Jami, daughter Violet, parents Wayne and Lynette Peterson of Medical Lake, WA.

; sister Linnea Street and her husband Cory, and was Uncle Thor to Julia and Joseph Street of Chesterfield, MO.

He has left a hole in the hearts of all he touched, but we are sure Heaven has gained more laughter and hugs.

Services will be held Monday, March 23 at 10:30 AM at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery.
