Obituary: Becker, Marvin Edward “Beck”

BECKER, Marvin Edward “Beck” (Age 94) Of Leoma, TN passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN.

He was a native of Spokane, WA, retired plumber, a member of American Legion Post 146, T.V.J.

and Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Mr. Becker served his country honorably as a Paratrooper in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Theodore and Ottilie Elizabeth Paul Becker; one son, Randy Becker; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Belew Becker.

He is survived by wife of almost 70 years, Dot Johns Becker, Leoma, TN; one son, Ronald J. Becker (Linda), Gardendale, AL; four grandchildren, Ben Becker, Nathan Becker, Beth McMeekin (Stan), Brooke Becker; five great-grandchildren, Cameron McMeekin, Aiden McMeekin, Quin McMeekin, Lillian McMeekin, Ruby Becker; one sister, Eunice Falwey, Kettle Falls, WA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Arrangements are being handled by NEAL FUNERAL HOME, 231 N. MILITARY AVENUE, LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2015, with Wayne Martin officiating.

Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
