Obituary: Harris, Alfred Miles, Jr.
Age 89
He was born on January 29, 1926 in Yardley, WA the son of Alfred Sr. and Helen (Koskey) Harris.
Al began his 24 year career with The Spokane Fire Department in September of 1952.
He attained the rank of Captain before retiring in 1976.
He loved to travel and was an avid golfer but above all else, Al loved and supported his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years Jerelyn Harris; children Wayne, Kevin and Vincent; grandchildren Andrew, Joseph and Thomas; and great-grandchildren Robert and Natalie.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2pm and will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3720 E. Colbert Road, Colbert, WA with visitation beginning at 1pm.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall, Spokane.
The family would like you to join them at a Life Celebration Gathering, with refreshments, for Al on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 11am-4pm at Patsy Clark Mansion, 2208 W. 2nd Ave., Spokane.
The family requests that if you attend, please bring a bag of your favorite coffee beans in tribute to Al.
