Obituary: Bennett, Patricia Jane

Age 71

BENNETT, Patricia Jane Patricia Jane Whealy passed to a glorious new haven on April 29th of a massive heart attack.

“Patti” was born in Great Falls, Montana on November 18th, 1943 and was the “baby” of the family with three older siblings.

Patti was on her way to become a nun until a very handsome man (Jimmy) swept her off her feet.

Jimmy and Patti were married in Great Falls in 1962.

Jimmy made a career in the US Air Force which took them to many places such as Florida and Germany to name a few and finally to Chandler, Arizona.

This is where they found their “cherished Cherubim” Jayson.

When Jayson was adopted, Patti became a very proud “Mom” and lived for this adorable “scamp” who fulfilled all of her dreams of being a mom!

Patti worked in the banking industry for many years with her final career at Northern Quest Casino in Spokane, Washington.

Patti was loved by everyone who knew her and she treated all her family with respect, genuine love and compassion.

Patti will be greatly missed by all who shared any time with her.

Patti was preceded in death by her one and only love of her life, Jim Bennett, her parents, Helen and Austin Whealy, brother Jack Whealy and sister Dorothy Taylor.

Patti is survived by her son Jayson Bennett; her sister and best friend Donna Shanahan; also nieces and nephews, Dennis Taylor and wife Kathy Taylor, Dave Taylor, Patrick Shanahan, Craig Whealy, Kirsten Whealy, and so many friends at Northern Quest Casino and in Arizona.

She was compassionate, genuine and strived to help those in need and will truly be missed.

A memorial service will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 2pm.
