Hecla’s Greens Creek Mine in Alaska produced 2 million ounces of silver during the first quarter, a 14 percent increase over the first quarter of 2014, as a result of higher silver grades. Production at the Lucky Friday in Idaho was 840,000 ounces of silver during the quarter, a 20 percent increase over the prior year period. A new shaft at the Lucky Friday is on track for completion in the third quarter of 2016. |
