Obituary: Blount, Steven Christopher

BLOUNT, Steven Christopher (Age 50) Steven Christopher Blount, passed away in his sleep during the early morning hours of May 8th, after losing his battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Christy; his parents Alma Blount, and Gilbert and Inger Lise Blount; his brother Scott (Tracy) Blount; and sister Heidi (Ron) Barham, as well as his cousins Mike Blount and Robin Blount Kerr.

Fortunately for Steven and the majority of his family, they were able to spend his final days by his bedside.

Steven’s cousin, Debbie Davis will also be flying in from Ohio to celebrate Steven’s life with the family, as we all say farewell, but not good-bye.

Steven will be remembered for his love of life, his sense of humor, his passion for photography and animals, and his joy of photographing birds.

Steven loved acting, and it made him feel happy and alive.

It brought out the artist in him, and anyone that knew him could attest to his creative side.

Steven was known for bringing smiles to the faces of perfect strangers, and it seemed everywhere he went, people remembered him.

He just seemed to make friends everywhere.

He was known and loved by many, and he still is.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Steven’s honor on Monday afternoon, May 11th at 3:00 pm at the New Life Assembly Church, 10920 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA.

Steven requested this not be a sad occasion, rather a celebration of his life and in that spirit, he requested no one wear black to the event.

Additionally, Steven and the family have requested in lieu of flowers any donations be made to the Spokane Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAP) located at 6815 E. Trent, Spokane, WA.
