Obituary: Spaulding, Verda Lou

Age 77

SPAULDING, Verda Lou (Age 77) Verda Lou Mehagan Spaulding was born on January 18, 1938 to Clarence N. and Della Mehagan in Ada, OK. She passed away on May 7, 2015 in Spokane, WA.

Verda worked many years as an attendant counselor at Interlake and Lakeland Village.

She is survived by daughters Deborah Chambers (Russ), and Rebecca Biggar (Bob), and son Mark Spaulding, all of Spokane; grandchildren Kirsten Larson, Kristofer Larson, and Matthew Larson, all of Wasilla, AK; Michelle Langford, Erik Larson, Alex, Mallory, and Carson Biggar, DJ and Aurora Spaulding, and Harrison and Quinn Calligan, all of Spokane; Brad Biggar of Vicenza, Italy, Jenna Davila of El Paso, TX; great-grandchildren Elizabeth Thiel, Ryen Worrell, Kellsey Hoover, Sam, Jared, and Penelope Langford, Grace Larson, Foster and Thatcher Larson, Kaiser Larson, Natalia, JJ, Guillermo, and Gabriel Davila; in-laws William, Wayland, and Wendy Spaulding, and Joan Howard; and nieces and nephews Roddie Fleming, Mike Mehagan, Sandra Dean, and Rosemary Deatherage.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Ernest, her son Scott, her sister Opal, and her brother Clarence Jr. Our family would like to thank Hospice of Spokane for all of their love and care.

The funeral service for Verda will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:30pm in the Ball & Dodd Chapel, 5100 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA 99205.

The burial will follow at 3:00pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, in Spokane.
