Obituary: Cleveland, Daryl Robert
Daryl was born in Pasco, WA and moved to Spokane in 1956.
He graduated from West Valley High School and attended Walla Walla University.
During the Vietnam War he was trained by the U.S. Army as a paramedic and assigned to Fort Dietrich, MD.
For nine years he owned and operated the Sonora Ambulance Company in CA.
His profession as a medic and safety officer provided varied opportunities including working for companies on offshore platforms; fighting oil well fires in Kuwait; working for Brown and Root in Bosnia, Croatia, Iraq.
Last assignment was in Papua New Guinea.
Daryl is survived by his brother, Dale Cleveland of Sagle, ID; his sister, Teri Boyatt of Riverside, CA; two daughters, Lisa Leno of Spangle, WA and Tami Blank of Rosalia, WA; and two nieces and three nephews and three grandchildren.
Daryl’s wife, Beth, preceded him in death in 2012.
