Obituary: Erker, Maxine Marie (Malek)
Age 55
Maxine was born November 18th 1959 in Spokane, WA to Max and Evelyn Malek.
Survived by her husband Alan; daughter Isabelle; siblings Jeff Malek, Maureen Neufeld, Merry Mueller, Rebecca Malek and Max Malek, their spouses and several nieces and nephews.
Maxine graduated Hellgate High School in 1978 and worked as a telephone secretary in Missoula, MT until 1983.
She then moved to Spokane, WA continuing as a secretary until 1992, when she married David Payne and began her career as an office manager.
After their divorce she felt the need to move back to Montana in November of 2001.
Having met her love Alan Erker and finding her home in Superior, MT they worked side by side to make a place they were blessed to be a part of.
Four years later, after having lost their son Wyatt in gestation, they were blessed with the adoption of their daughter Isabelle.
With her dream of a partner in life, a beautiful daughter to teach and raise, a myriad of animals to care for, feed and raise, and 10 wonderful acres to nurture, her life was complete.
She loved to dance from a young age.
She was introduced to the cowboy jitterbug in her teens and thoroughly enjoyed dancing with her husband Alan at the Superior fair for their “one weekend a year out”, enjoying neighbors’ company and catching up on the past year.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Superior High School gymnasium in Superior, MT.
