Obituary: Hoering, Mary Margaret

Age 71

HOERING, Mary Margaret Mary passed away on Monday, May 11th, 2015, at the age of 71.

She was born in Regina, Saskat- chewan, Canada, on February 6, 1944 and was the 10th of 11 children.

Her childhood was filled with fun and adventure thanks to her friends and many siblings.

In 1965, she moved to Spokane, Washington, with her brother Vince Collins and sister-in-law Karen.

It was here that she eventually met her husband, Richard G. Hoering.

They were married on March 23rd, 1968, and had two daughters: Jodi and Jaime.

Mary always wanted and provided the best for her daughters, and eventually for her granddaughter, Emily Hoering.

Mary Margaret and her husband were co-owners of North Bowl for over 30 years.

Here, Mary was able to socialize to her heart’s content-telling jokes and stories, offering support, advice, and anything else you might need.

After retiring, Mary loved spending time with her family and friends, watching Gonzaga basketball games, attending church services, and going to Friday night movies at AMC with her good friend Bonnie McCollum.

She was a breast cancer survivor and fought a battle with lung cancer with grace, humor, and a beautifully inspirational outlook.

Toward the end, it was very important to Mary Margaret that she let everyone know just how much she loved them all.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26th at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Spokane, Washington.

Instead of flowers, Mary Margaret would hope that you would perform an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness in her name.
