TRAVIS, Clifford A.

“Gus” It is with great sadness that the family of Clifford A. Travis announce his passing in Spokane, WA on May 16, 2015.

Born July 6, 1946 in Spokane WA to Clifford and Patricia Travis, he was raised here with his three sisters.

After graduating from Gonzaga Prep in 1964 he joined the Coast Guard and was stationed at Neah Bay.

Upon his return to Spokane he married and had a family.

In 1977 he moved his family to Arden WA where he worked for Plumb Creek Timber and was instrumental in organizing the Volunteer Fire Dept., being fire chief for 8 years.

After several moves, he brought his family back to Spokane in 1989 where he began working for Kaman Industrial Technologies.

In 1994 he opened Westbrook Resort on Horseshoe Lake, running it with his wife until 2004.

He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Garvin (Larry), Kathleen Kellogg, Margaret Meyers (Dave), children Jeanie Johnson, John, Robert, Paul and Cori Bower, and eight grandchildren.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 219 E. Rockwood Blvd.
