In brief: Arts council readies annual auction

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Spokane Valley Arts Council will hold its ninth annual Artist Showcase and Auction on Saturday at 5 p.m. at CenterPlace, 2426 N. Discovery Place.

This is the arts council’s main fundraising event and includes many types and styles of art up for silent and live auctions.

Tickets are $50 – which includes a year’s membership in the council – and may be purchased at www.spokanevalley arts.org or at the door. Call: (509) 924-5009.

Dads and Dudes unfolds Friday

LIBERTY LAKE – The HUB Sports Center will hold its fourth annual Dads and Dudes Night on Friday.

The event will run 6 to 9 p.m. at the center, 19619 E. Cataldo Ave. in Liberty Lake. Uncles, grandfathers and other father figures are welcome to attend with boys.

Activities, for all ages, include basketball, karate, soccer, pickleball and football.

The event costs $10 for each father-son combination, plus $3 for each additional son, if paid in advance. Admission at the door is $15 per duo.

Credit union to mark opening

SPOKANE VALLEY – PrimeSource Credit Union will celebrate the grand opening of its Spokane Valley location on June 5.

The new branch is at 9208 E. Sprague Ave., at South Dishman Mica Road. It will be open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
