Obituary: Mcginnis, Evelyn Louise
She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 11, 2015 in Portland, OR, while staying with her daughter, Karen Schmidt.
Mother was born and raised on the farm with her brothers and sisters.
She graduated from Mead High School.
While dancing at the Greenbluff Grange, she met and later married Melvin McGinnis.
Together, they raised four children on their 50 acre fruit ranch: Hallie McGinnis of Anchorage AK, Karen Schmidt of Portland OR, Melvin McGinnis of Spokane and Rickard McGinnis, who preceded his parents in death.
She was also preceded in death by sisters: Katherine, Margaret and Irene; brothers; Melvin and Wayne and long time companion Phillip Stainer, whom she adored.
Mother was a loving person who loved her children, grand- children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all her many friends.
Mom enjoyed life to the fullest.
She belonged to the Eagles, loved dancing, gardening, fishing, playing cards and watching her favorite sports teams - The Gonzaga Bulldogs, Mariners and the Seahawks.
We love you Mom and you surely will be missed by all your family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Level 3, Fidelity Crypts.
