Obituary: Moon Sr., George E.
He was born on Halloween in Colville, WA to Luther S. Moon and Gladys “Rose” (Truscott) Moon.
George graduated from North Central High School in Spokane.
He married Eva Louise McKelvey and they had four children.
Eva passed away in June 1983.
George and his partner owned the M and H Garage for many years.
George then worked for Rowand Machinery Company and Avista.
George is survived by his children, Janece (Duane) Scheele, Margaret (Steven) Miller, Loretta Moon, and George Moon, Jr.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren, April (Bryan) Westby, Karla (Sergio) Marroquin, Laura (Steven) Bryant, Jolynn (Ben) Payne, Dayna (Frank) Faultersack, Charlie Ann (Jeremy) Wright, Philip Scheele, Julie Rose, Amy (Tony) Leonetti, Jennifer Rose, and Nicolle (Steven) Bennett, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the staff at Colonial Court and Gentiva Hospice for their care.
There will be a viewing on Friday, June 5, 12:00 to 5:00pm at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Road.
The services for George will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park.
