Obituary: Wilson, Phyllis V.

WILSON, Phyllis V. (Age 89) Phyllis passed away on May 20, 2015 in Spokane.

She was born on July 12, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Fred and Monica Lange.

Mom grew up in Chicago, IL.

When she graduated high school she was working as a secretary when she met and married Ray H. Wilson.

They moved to Ray’s home town of Spokane shortly after.

They then spent the rest of their lives and raised three children in the Spokane area.

Phyllis enjoyed bowling, playing Bridge, golfing, traveling, and watching baseball on TV.

Her family and friends meant the world to her.

When the grandchildren were small she would sing and dance with them to the tune of Copa Cabana.

She also enjoyed being a volunteer at Deaconess Hospital and most recently sharing time with her group of gals at P.E.O.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray H. Wilson and her sister Sharlotte Michaels.

She is survived by her three children: Scott Wilson of Spokane, Reed Wilson (Marilyn) of Redmond, WA and Judi Lappano (Mike) of Spokane; grandchildren: Amy (Ken) Montanye-Johnson, Kelly (Troy) Montanye, Erin (Jim) Vey, Shannon (Ryan) Williamson, and Todd and Ryan Lappano; and six great-grandchildren: Desirae, James, Payton, Kendall, Maggie and Cassie.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 3:00PM at the Fairmount Memorial Park Sunset Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
