WSP arrests robbery suspect after high-speed chase on I-90

ahThe Washington State Patrol arrested a robbery suspect after a briefhigh-speed chase on Interstate 90 ended in a crash Tuesday afternoon.

The Petro in Medical Lake was robbed around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and a description of the car involved was broadcast over the police radio. A WSP trooper spotted the car driving east on I-90 into Spokane, said WSP spokesman Trooper Jeff Sevigney.

The driver attempted to get off at the Division exit, changed his mind and started driving on the shoulder, Sevigney said. At that point the trooper and a WSP sergeant attempted to pull the car over, but it sped off.

The driver, identified as 31-year-old Quintin G. Sinn, took the Altamont exit. He hit another car T-boned a car at Third Avenue and S. Altamont Street when he ran a red light, Sevigney said. Sinn fled on foot but was tracked down and arrested. Sinn was scraped and bruised from the collision, received some scrapes and bruises, Sevigney said.

“He jumped over a few fences,” he said.

The people in the car Sinn hit were not seriously injured.

Spokane Police Department spokeswoman Officer Teresa Fuller said police are investigating whether Sinn might be tied to recent robberies in Spokane.

Sinn’s criminal history includes convictions for trafficking in stolen property, eluding police, theft, residential burglary and possession of stolen property.
