Obituary: Bohen, Joseph Julius

BOHEN, Joseph Julius “Joe” (Age 93) 11/27/21 - 10/09/15 Joe was born in Roberts, Idaho to Edward Bohen and Catherine Edelmayer- Bohen.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII and married Goldie Mae Steppa on July 17, 1952 in Tacoma, WA.

They made their home in Spokane, WA where they raised their family.

Joe enjoyed raising cattle and growing a large garden to feed his family.

He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Mead, WA.

Joe enjoyed doing mechanic work for family and friends; fixed many bikes for all the neighborhood kids; hunting, playing horseshoes and games, traveling, and making macramĂŠ lawn chairs.

Joe is survived by his spouse Goldie and their children Larry (Annie), Albert, Kathy (Chuck), Angie (Doug), Jody (Jim), and Rita.

Grandchildren: Jeremie, Marianne and Camille; Keith and Tracey; Tim and Christina; Nicole and Michael; Marie and Samantha; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Hogan and sister, Eva McLeod.

The Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
