Obituary: Daweritz, Joy Lee

DAWERITZ, Joy Lee On the morning of November 7, 2015 Joy Lee Wallace-Daweritz passed away peacefully at the age of 74 in Spokane, Washington surrounded by family.

Born January 7, 1941 in Eugene, Oregon, Joy graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1959.

She has resided in Sprague, Washington, for the past 38 years where she has been an active member of her community and her church.

Joy resonated with kindness and compassion and sought to live a humble and loving life.

Joy is survived by her sisters, Beverly Kime, and Emaline (Skip) Stevens, brother, Greg Buachler, her loving children: Bill Thompson, Reva Thompson, Sharlene and Alan Stromberger, and David and Emily Thompson as well as 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grand- children, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Harry M. Kime Jr., and her daughter-in-law, Patricia (Trish) Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2536 N. 6th St., Cheney, WA 99004.

Joy will be laid to rest in Wallace Cemetery, Jasper, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Spokane.
