Obituary: Munson, Roy Dennis

MUNSON, Roy Dennis On the morning of November 2, 2015, Roy Dennis Munson passed away at his home with his wife by his side.

Roy was 66 years old.

He was born November 23, 1948 in Spokane Wa to Clarence (Gene) and Georgia Munson.

Roy attended Shadle Park High School in Spokane where he graduated in 1967.

He recently retired after working 28 years as agent/owner of an insurance company.

With a kind heart and gentle soul, Roy was loved and respected by all who knew him.

His quiet composure served to conceal a wonderful sense of humor, his smile would be followed by a comical response and an innocent look.

He took great pleasure in teaching his grandchildren anything that would drive their parents crazy.

He was a very talented artist and as his wife said, he sometimes let work interfere with golf.

Roy married Linda Mathaney on July 5, 1969, enjoying 46 wonderful years together.

They had two sons, Christian and Brian.

Roy is survived by his wife Linda; sons Chris Munson and Brian Munson (wife Laurie); two sisters, Melody Jamison, Candy Munson (husband Reggie Sutter); grandchildren: Vanessa, Emmarae, Ashlyn, Braeden and Corbin and several nieces and nephews.

No service will be held at this time, but there will be a Celebration of Life in the spring, at the Munson home.
