Gonzaga University senior Miranda Heckman performs for Hamblen Elementary School students on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, in Spokane. Heckman has found a way to blend her three academic loves: biology, dance and education. Spokane students are learning about the Spokane River through her choreographed dance presentation, called “The Dancing River.”
