Obituary: Kjack, Bobby Dean “Bob”

Age 82

KJACK, Bobby Dean “Bob” (Age 82) Passed away on November 14, 2015 in Spokane, WA.

Bob was born on June 3, 1933 to Ted and Irene Kjack in Rosalia, WA where he joined his sisters, Thelda and Veva Jean, as well as his cousins Jr. and Wayne and their parents, Mae and Dinty Kjack.

Bob was a graduate of Rosalia High School where he was a 3-sport letterman in football, basketball and baseball.

He married Carol Tupling, also a Rosalia graduate, on June 27, 1959.

Together, they raised a son, David, and a daughter, Terri.

Shortly after graduating from high school, Bob started refereeing Jr. High basketball in Pine City, WA.

Bob was a member of the Rosalia Gun Club, the Plaza Grange, as well as a board member of the former Rosalia Producers for 25 years, serving several terms as board president.

He was also a volunteer firefighter for Fire District 3 out of Plaza, WA.

Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter and sports enthusiast and could be seen at many high school sporting events, well after his own children had graduated from high school.

He did a great deal of “coaching” from the bleachers.

Before retiring from farming, he decided to take on another challenge and learn the sport of Golf.

He became quite addicted and spent many a day at the St. John Golf Club, among other courses in the area, and was a member of the Twilight Golf League in St. John, WA.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Irene; sister Thelda; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his wife Carol; son David, daughter Terri Long (Jetson); and grandkids: Tyler Moore-Long and Haley Moore-Long.

Graveside service will be held at the Pine City Cemetary on Saturday, November 21 at 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life to be held in the basement of the Rosalia United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Rosalia United Methodist Church, Rosalia Ambulance Fund, Hospice House of Spokane, or the Charity of your choice.
